Recruitment Interviewing

For anyone involved in the recruitment and interviewing of staff this course is a must. Certification from the ILM is an added bonus for those who successfully pass the recruitment assessment. The programme can be used as part of a wider programme of training in HR.
Course Aim:
To provide delegates with the confidence to interview potential employees fairly and within current legislation.
Learning Outcomes:
Following this programme delegates will be able to:
- Conduct an effective recruitment interview
- Make effective selection decisions
- Write a Job Description and Person Specification
- Use appropriate media to attract the most appropriate candidates
- Understand and apply key employment legislation affecting recruitment and selection
Course Outline:
Day 1:
- Why is effective recruitment key to successful organizations?
- The importance of the job description and person specification and how to write them
- How to advertise the vacancy to attract the most appropriate candidates
Day 2:
- Interview structure
- What to look for in an interview
- Questioning and Listening techniques
- Legislation affecting recruitment and selection
- Interview Preparation and practice
Day 3:
Delegates will be required to run a thirty minute interview using the Job Description and Person Specification which they prepared on day one.
Delegates will need to bring their own updated CV to enable a more accurate interview to take place.

Prices:
£3,900 for a group of 6 delegates and £650 for each additional delegate to a maximum of 8 delegates.
Numbers of delegates:
We are able to provide courses for up to eight delegates. Smaller numbers are of course welcome and this enables our trainers to provide more individual attention to those attending.
